In the heart of Big Pine Key, where the ocean breeze drifts through the palms and life moves at island pace, a beloved local gathering place began its next chapter.

What was once known as The Big Pine Rooster became The Island’s Pancake House Bar and Grill in April 2026, when Brian and Stacey Martins purchased the restaurant with a  simple but meaningful vision: preserve everything people loved while bringing fresh energy and heart to the experience.

For Brian and Stacey, this wasn’t just a business opportunity—it was personal.  Having bulit a legacy of hospitality at their Fort Myers Beach location, they understood what makes a restaurant special.  Great food matters, of course, but what keeps people coming back is something deeper: feeling welcomed, remembered, and cared for.

From sunrise breakfasts to laid-back lunches and satisfying dinners, The Island’s Pancake House Bar and Grill was created to be a place where everyone feels at home.  Families gather around tables stacked with pancakes, travelers stop in after long days exploring the Keys, and locals return for familiar faces and comforting meals.

Every dish is prepared with care, using fresh ingredients and flavors that celebrate both tradition and community.  The goal has never been simply to serve food- it’s to create moments.  Moring coffee shared between friends.  Laughter over lunch.  Dinner stories told after a day on the water.

Open seven days a week from 8 am to 9 pm, the restaurant continues to be a place where island hospitality comes alive.  Warm smiles great guests at the door, and every visit offers the easygoing charm that makes Big Pine Key unforgettable.
